Problem
How might we build a digital space that connects Filipinos in Hong Kong to community, opportunities, and safe resources?

FilipinoHub was created to support Filipino people in Hong Kong who often face discrimination and limited access to opportunities. The platform brings together community, businesses, talent, and safe resources in one place.

solution

A structured, community-first website experience designed for clarity, discovery, and access.

Improved clarity of platform offerings for first-time users
Removed barriers to discovering relevant businesses and services
Made community support easier to find and act on
OUTCOME

Improved

access to trusted community resources

Clearer

navigation and content discovery

End-to-end

design, build, and QA delivery

Initial Observations
The platform had strong intent but lacked structure.

Users needed:

  • A clearer understanding of what FilipinoHub offers

  • Easier navigation across content and services

  • A more trustworthy and cohesive experience

PAIN POINTS
  1. Lack of structure

Content existed but was not organized in a clear, navigable way

  1. Fragmented experience

Pages and sections felt disconnected

  1. Sensitive user needs

Users were looking for safe housing, trusted services, and community support

REFLECTION
Design can support real-world impact

This project focused on supporting a community, not just improving a product

Structure drives discovery

Clear organization makes content more useful

Design continues beyond handoff

QA and collaboration were key to delivering the final experience
